Noble Opens at An Chistin Food Hub in Castlerea

Noble Ice Cream has officially opened its new home at An Chistin Food Hub in Castlerea, Co. Roscommon. The opening was attended by Sean Mullarkey, Director of Finance at Roscommon County Council; Cllr. Paschal Fitzmaurice, Cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council; Benny O'Connell; and Brian Stenson of Enterprise Castlerea.

As reported in the Irish Independent, the event marks a significant milestone in Noble's journey — from a small home kitchen to a purpose-built food production facility designed to support commercial-scale artisan manufacturing.

An Chistin Food Hub is a community-supported food enterprise centre that provides local producers with shared commercial kitchen space, cold storage, and business support. For Noble, the move means expanded production capacity while maintaining the hands-on, small-batch approach that defines the brand.

"This facility gives us room to grow without compromising on quality," said Alexander Kuzminov, co-founder of Noble. "Every batch is still made by hand. We still taste every flavour before it leaves the kitchen. The only difference is that now we can make more of it."

The opening attracted strong support from the local enterprise community. Roscommon County Council has been instrumental in developing An Chistin as a resource for the region's growing food sector, and Noble's presence adds to a cluster of artisan producers who are putting Roscommon on Ireland's food map.

Since establishing at An Chistin, Noble has expanded its distribution to health food stores, specialty retailers, and hospitality partners across Roscommon, Galway, Mayo, and beyond. The company's EU-certified production facility ensures full traceability and compliance with Ireland's food safety standards.

The milestone has been covered by regional and national press, further raising awareness of both Noble and the broader artisan food scene emerging from Ireland's West and Midlands.
